To know why I started NXT LVL PM, we must take a trip down memory lane. My experience started at a young age, when my parents purchased their first investment property, a quaint 8-unit apartment complex. It was a family affair, my dad being a general contractor completed all the repairs/upgrades along with my mom a Real Estate Agent. Then add my sister, and I, who helped the best we could with unit cleaning and painting projects.
My experience sets me apart from a typical property manager as I started at the bottom of the ladder, after high school I moved out of the city to the mountains and spent one winter season working as an assistant vacation rental manager and housekeeper. After that season, I moved back to the city and started as a receptionist for a property management company and obtained my real estate license. After that I moved onto another company as an Assistant Property Manager, then onto another as their Property Manager, then onto another where I officially became a Senior Property Manager, and finally before starting my company, I held the position of Director of Property Management. In 2022 I obtained my Broker’s License, opening up the door to own and operate my own company someday. I worked under 5 different Brokers across 12 years, one of whom was also a Real Estate Attorney…each Broker taught me invaluable information and helped shape some of the methods I use today. A few of them also taught me what NOT to do, and that’s why I’m where I am today.
Unfortunately, many in the industry lack the experience and knowledge to manage properties effectively, not to mention the lack of customer service nowadays.
Property Managers also have a bad reputation when it comes to relationships with tenants due to bad move-outs, evictions, deposit disputes, etc. So, by starting off right from the beginning by accepting tenants that meet our requirements, keeping constant communication between all parties involved, and having transparent expectations, we dramatically decrease the chances of a bad move-out experience.
Our goal is to provide both tenants and owners with honest and reliable services. we’ve restored some tenants’ and owners’ faith about the Property Manager misconception, and I want to restore many more! That’s why we’re NXT LVL Property Management, “providing you next level service.”
